Design Education

Lora Redwine, M.A.Ed.
Graphic Designer 〉 Visual Designer

Inspiring and creative experiences have been an integral part of my life from the beginning—drawing and painting, playing the French horn and trumpet, building elaborate cookie castles, sewing clothing and costumes, custom illustrative cakes, banquet and wedding cakes. I began teaching fine art classes in small groups and to individual clients while completing my B.A. in Graphic Design. After working a decade in the design industry, I became a graphic design instructor and earned a M.A.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction.

The experience I have gained completing 50 units in industrial design has developed knowledge in 3 dimensional design and invention. Most recently, I have completed a multimedia and design program dedicating 36 weeks of software training. With over 10 years as a design instructor, I have developed a discerning eye for excellent design, mastering the big 3 Adobe products, and recently, the interactive and web-based software. I support and embrace the classroom rich with diversity and celebrate a pluralistic society. By providing competency-based education, carefully reviewing course competencies and planning each class in an organized, coordinated manner, I offer opportunities for my design students to succeed.

I live in San Diego with my husband and best friend, Daryl—pet parents to our dog, Theo.
